Do you have a Czech family member you’d love to impress? Maybe you want to order out for them (dát si), going out together for a walk (jít), chat about their favorite movies and Netflix series (dívat se, sledovat), or remind them to take their vitamins (vzít si) in their native tongue?
Do you have a Czech neighbor you'd like to break the ice with? Ask what team is playing (hrát), or who's in the lead (vést), and talk about work (pracovat).
Or perhaps you're living in the Czech Republic and want to blend in, ask for prices at the farmer's market (stát), check what offers there are (hledat, nabízet), or pay your phone bill (platit)?

Each verb is shown in 10 natural phrases across different tenses and forms — present, past, future, conditional, and imperative.
The e-book is divided into units, with each unit introducing ten verbs.
Each unit includes:
- Ten verbs and their different forms (one verb per page)

- English equivalents for all the phrases used in the exercises
At the end of the e-book, you will find a comprehensive final revision section to review and reinforce what you’ve learned and also an appendix to help you understand some important grammar topics.
"The book is gorgeous, with vibrant and attention-getting colors. You can immediately tell a lot of care and careful attention went into this book. The layout is logical, easy to figure out for a new learner or a seasoned learner, making it easy for someone like me to study verbs. It just looks really nice and the information that you have in the preface to help the user understand the background of what the book is and how to learn is very well done. The color work and the pictures for each verb are really fun and I think that's a really great part of this book."
Why You Will Love This E-book:
There is no heavy theory! You can look forward to grammar without feeling overwhelmed. Just practical examples that demonstrate grammar in action, including gender differences, tenses, reflexive verbs, and more.
Czech is different from English, that's why I included English equivalents of the example sentences rather than just translations. These clear and helpful comparisons will help you see what Czech expressions really mean in English.
This e-book comes alive thanks to the audio recordings included. Every sentence is recorded in Czech and English, at both a natural and a slow pace. You can click on the links or download the files to practice anywhere, anytime.
Enjoy various exercises as a bonus. You will reinforce your knowledge with fill-in-the-blanks, verb sorting, matching, and dialogues. Active learning will make you remember the verbs and their usage so much faster!

What Level Is It For?
Like my other electronic resources, this one is not intended for a specific language level. I always do my best to cater to a wider audience so that both beginners and more advanced students can benefit. That’s why I did the following:
The example sentences in the first half of the e-book are a bit shorter than those in the second half. Especially for the first ten verbs, the sentences contain no more than five words to help you “slide in” with ease.
Although the e-book's main focus is not on grammar, I also thought of those learners who refer to grammar for a deeper understanding. That's why you will find an appendix at the end of the e-book, which will explain many of the concepts related to verbs, such as verb conjugation, imperfective and perfective verbs or the reflexive verbs with se and si. You will also see which cases are typical for each verb.
This study companion will offer you flexibility in learning. You can study whatever you want, focus on learning phrases without worrying about grammar if you prefer, or even skip over phrases that feel too challenging for now. This e-book is more than a reference; it's a practical tool for learning through context, repetition, and thoughtful progression.
