"The book is gorgeous, with vibrant and attention-getting colors. You can immediately tell a lot of care and careful attention went into this book. The layout is logical, easy to figure out for a new learner or a seasoned learner, making it easy for someone like me to study verbs. It just looks really nice and the information that you have in the preface to help the user understand the background of what the book is and how to learn is very well done. The color work and the pictures for each verb are really fun and I think that's a really great part of this book."
—Todd, USA
"Excellent book! If you think about it, verbs are the part of speech that is absolutely essential for communication. No verb – no meaning. That’s why this book is a key to quickly mastering the language. Zuzka, in her trademark style, has chosen examples you hear or use yourself every single day. Unlike most other books, the visual design keeps things engaging and makes it easy to stay focused. No need to think twice – this book is a must-have."

Behind the Scenes - Recording

I always want my e-books to become alive with audio recordings. I recorded 600 phrases, each in English once and in Czech three times at different paces! This is just a small glimpse of what my work looks like.

Learn Anywhere, Anytime

From my experience as a teacher, I know that prepositions—especially the short ones—make understanding spoken Czech more challenging. But that changes once you get used to them early on and learn the different ways they can be pronounced. The many audio recordings in this e‑book, each at different speeds, help you hear exactly how prepositions behave in real speech.

Download the audio to your phone and listen while driving, cooking, or walking the dog.
Revisit the examples whenever you need a refresher.

Use the book as a reference, a study tool, or a confidence booster.

Throughout the e‑book, you’ll also find a variety of exercises for different types of learners and different levels—these will help you remember the phrases faster and more naturally.

Let me show you what this e-book is about so that you know what to expect from it!

What Level Is It For?

Like my other electronic resources, this one is not intended for a specific language level. I always do my best to cater to a wider audience so that both beginners and more advanced students can benefit. That’s why I did the following:

The example sentences in the first half of the e-book are a bit shorter than those in the second half. Especially for the first ten verbs, the sentences contain no more than five words to help you “slide in” with ease.

Although the e-book's main focus is not on grammar, I also thought of those learners who refer to grammar for a deeper understanding. That's why you will find an appendix at the end of the e-book, which will explain many of the concepts related to verbs, such as verb conjugation, imperfective and perfective verbs or the reflexive verbs with se and si. You will also see which cases are typical for each verb.

This study companion will offer you flexibility in learning. You can study whatever you want, focus on learning phrases without worrying about grammar if you prefer, or even skip over phrases that feel too challenging for now. This e-book is more than a reference; it's a practical tool for learning through context, repetition, and thoughtful progression.

And a special chapter: Advanced Use (C1 Level).

Makes Your Learning Simple

Have you ever had the feeling you wanted to study Czech but didn't know where to begin? Getting into a textbook might feel like too much commitment, learning random words from Czech texts is aimless...

The 100 Most Frequent Czech Verbs offers you the guidance you need while maintaining flexibility. It feels light and pressure-free. Use the e-book based on your time availability and if you are always on the road, you can simply listen to the audio files on your favorite device. Try it! You Have Nothing to Lose

The 100 Most Frequent Czech Verbs reached another level of depth. After writing all 1,010 example sentences and creating numerous exercises, all the phrases were reviewed in both Czech and English to ensure they felt natural and were ready for recording.

My Expertise

With over 15 years of experience in language teaching, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of learners who have provided invaluable feedback on my methods and exercises. As a native Czech speaker, I bring both expertise and cultural insight to my teaching.

Although I love grammar, I understand that sometimes it can get in the way. There are times when it's best to put the “why” aside and simply focus on memorization and practice.

The 100 Most Frequent Czech Verbs offers the perfect balance between grammar and natural language, creating an excellent resource for all kinds of learners. I'm confident you'll be happy with it!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
